Most unlucky batsman ?

Ruturaj gaikwad has had 2 seasons of 500+ runs. ( Actually 600 but in 2023 he had 590 runs) has played a total of 4 seasons (if we take 2020 out then it's 3). Already has 10 MOTM awards in 50ish innings. Helped CSK win 2 titles. He did not particularly shine in internationals but, def was'nt bad. He has the consistency and has worked on his strike rate ( he gave starts in 2023 and conway anchored ) . But i don't see people think of him as a contender for the opening or no.3 spot in WC team. why is that ? Will another 500 runs season help his case ?
